After the local anesthetic cream has taken effect, the microneedling treatment is performed with a derma roller or dermapen. The head of the needle is glided over the area to be treated, causing minute injuries to the skin and thus stimulating the body's own skin regeneration. Microneedling is combined with hyaluronic acid or autologous blood plasma (PRP) as desired and indicated.
For optimal results, it is recommended to have 3 to 4 microneedling treatments performed at intervals of about 4 weeks.

Risks and complications
Immediately after a microneedling treatment, the skin is red. However, the redness of the skin has subsided considerably after a few hours and is usually no longer present after 2 to 3 days.
Since the skin is sensitive after microneedling, it is important to apply a sunscreen with a high sun protection factor (50+) during the first weeks after the treatment.
Frequently asked questions
No, a microneedling treatment is not painful. To prevent slight pain from the fine needle pricks, a local anesthetic cream is applied to the skin before the treatment. Most clients feel only a slight vibration from the device.
Already a few days after a microneedling treatment, a first effect is noticeable and the skin appears more radiant and fresh. Since the active ingredients must first spread and stimulate the body's own regeneration process, the full effect of the treatment unfolds after 6 to 8 weeks.
