The Preservé™ technique
Preservé™ is a special, minimally invasive procedure for tissue-sparing breast augmentation. It was developed to cause as little damage as possible to the natural breast tissue and to preserve important structures such as breast ligaments, nerves and blood vessels. Instead of cutting through tissue, it is gently stretched using a special balloon to form a precise pocket for the implant. The operation
The operation is performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia in twilight sleep or, if desired, under general anesthesia. A very small incision (approx. 2.5 cm) is made in the underbust crease to gently prepare the space for the implant using a balloon, which only stretches the tissue and does not cut it sharply. The implant is then placed in front of the pectoral muscle using the no-touch technique. This innovative, gentle and precise technique preserves important breast ligaments and protects the mammary gland tissue, which enables fast and painless healing.
Recovery and aftercareAfter a short recovery period in one of our patient rooms with a view of the Rhine and care from our clinic team, you can return home. Most patients are able to resume their normal daily routine just a few days later and are also able to return to work. There is usually very little pain. A supportive bra is worn for the first 6 weeks after the operation. Exercise can be resumed as early as 3 weeks after the operation, which is significantly faster than with traditional breast augmentation techniques.

Classic breast augmentation
With the classic method, more extensive tissue removal is often necessary to create space for the implant. Depending on the indication, the implant is placed below or above the pectoral muscle. With this less tissue-sparing technique, the healing time is generally longer compared to the Preservé™ method or Mia Femtech™ technique and the operation carries potentially higher risks of complications and loss of nipple sensation. The Classic breast augmentation is usually performed under general anesthesia and leaves larger scars due to the more extensive tissue dissection.
Mia Femtech™
Breast harmonization with Mia Femtech™ uses similar instruments to Preservé™ and the technique is also minimally invasive with minimal scarring. The main difference lies in the approach: with Mia® the incision is made in the armpit, whereas with Preservé™ the incision is made in the underbust crease. Mia uses specially shaped, diamond-shaped Motiva Ergonomix2® implants and usually only allows a moderate enlargement of 1 to 2 cup sizes, i.e. often less volume than is possible with Preservé™. A major advantage of Mia® is the hidden scar in the axillary fold without a direct scar on the breast, the short duration of the procedure without general anesthesia and the rapid return to everyday life.
Preservé™Preservé™ combines tissue protection with a minimal incision of only 2-2.5 cm in the natural underbust crease. The tissue is gently stretched instead of severed. This results in a short recovery time (a few days for light activities, approx. 2-3 weeks for light sports) and short, barely visible scars. The procedure can be performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia with twilight sleep, which is gentle on your body and eliminates the risks of general anesthesia. Preservé™ enables the insertion of very soft Motiva Ergonomix2® implants, which adapt naturally to the body and movements. One advantage of Preservé™ is that even larger breast implants than with Mia Femtech™ can be brought in.
