Our hair becomes thinner and loses density with age, but also certain hormonal changes or diseases can lead to thinning hair. By means of PRP therapy, an injection of autologous blood plasma into the scalp, hair can be effectively strengthened, thickened and hair loss reduced. PRP treatment is also often performed after hair transplantation to strengthen hair growth.
Procedure of an autohaemotherapy against hair loss
During PRP treatment, we first take a small amount of blood from you. This is then centrifuged, which separates the platelet-rich plasma from the rest of the blood. Platelet rich plasma (PRP) contains many growth factors that stimulate the body's own regeneration processes and hair growth. The PRP is injected into your scalp with very fine needles at various points to reactivate your hair growth. Immediately after the treatment, you can return to your regular daily routine.
