The size and shape of the labia minora and labia majora vary greatly from woman to woman. Women who visit my clinic most frequently complain of enlarged labia minora, which protrude clearly between the labia majora. In some cases there is also a clear asymmetry. Enlarged labia minora can lead to restrictions in intimacy, pain when doing sports such as horse riding or cycling or when wearing tight pants. Affected women often also feel aesthetically disturbed. If the labia minora are rather small, they can be given more volume by means of autologous fat transfer (so-called lipofilling) and ensure a harmonious intimate area. The type of labiaplasty and the surgical technique used always depend on the personal anatomy of the woman. Therefore, an intimate correction is always tailor-made and depends on the individual circumstances and needs. The operation can be performed on an outpatient basis, under local anesthesia or under a short, gentle anesthesia in our clinic's own operating room.
